total number of students = 45

and no. of boys=2/5of 45

=2/5×45

=2×9

=18

So ,no. of girls =45-18

=27

if there are 2/5are the boys then 3/5 are girls 3 fifths would be 3 multiple by 9 =27

the other way is to be let girls be X

multiply by 45( total students ) by 3/5

X = 45

X= 135= 27 girls
