2. A student added few pieces of aluminium
metal to two test tubes A and B containing
aqueous solutions of iron sulphate and
copper sulphate. In the second part of her
experiment, she added iron metal to another
test tubes C and D containing aqueous
solutions of aluminium sulphate and copper
sulphate.
In which test tube or test tubes will she
observe colour change? On the basis of this
experiment, state which one is most reactive
metal and why?

Reactivity

Aluminium>Iron>Copper

In test tube A

Aluminium will displace Iron and form Aluminium Sulphate

In test tube B

Aluminium will displace Copper and form Aluminium Sulphate

In test tube C

There will be no displacement

In test tube D

Iron will displace Copper and form Iron Sulphate

Aluminium can not be displaced because it is the most reactive metal among the following metals

Iron cannot be displaced by copper because it's more reactive metal than it

Copper cannot displace any metal because it's least reactive metal among the following metals

Aluminium is the most reactive metal because it can displace the above metals

HOPE IT'S HELPUL
