Answer:GANGA RIVER GANGA ACTION PLAN It was launched in 1985.it aimed at reducing the pollution levels in the river.The Ganga,at Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh,has one of the most stretches of the river.Kanpur is one of the most populated towns in Uttar Pradesh.People throwgarbage,flowers,idols of gods and goddesses and non-biodegradable polythene bags into the river.Many industries discharge harmful chemicals into rivers and streams,causing pollution of water.The chemicals released include arsenic,lead and fluorides which lead to toxicity in many plants,human beings and animals So,we need to save ganga river... GANGA BACHAAO,DHESH BACHAAO....SAVE WATER PLANET (THE EARTH)
