Hi ,

*****************************************

A( x1 , y1 ) , B( x2, y2 ) , C( x3, y3 ) are three

vertices of Triangle ,

Centroid ( G ) = ( x , y )

x = ( x1 + x2 + x3 )/3

y = ( y1 + y2 + y3 )/3

****************************************
i ) Let A( 1 , 3 ) , B( 2 , 7 ) , C( 12 , - 16 ) are

vertices of the triangle ,

G = ( x , y )

x = ( 1 + 3 + 12 )/3 = 16/3

y = ( 3 + 7 - 16 )/3 = -6/3 = -2

G = ( x , y ) = ( 16/3 , -2 )

ii )

Let A(3, -5 ) , B( -7 ,4 ) , C( 10 , -2 ) are

vertices of the triangle ,

centroid ( G ) = ( x , y )

x = ( 3 - 7 + 10 )/3 = 6/3 = 3

y = ( -5 + 4 - 2 )/3 = 3/3 = 1

centroid ( G ) = ( x , y ) = ( 3 , 1 )

I hope this helps you.
