BC = x cm. Find, in terms of x, the length
of AD.​

in triangle abc... all the sides are x cm (equaletral triangle)

in triangle adc

dc =x/2 and ac = x

by Pythagoras theorem

ac^2 = (x/2)^2 + ad^2

x^2-x^2 /4=ad^2

3x^2/4=AD^2
