Classify the following seeds using the international crop improvement association class and provide their source. Maize, water melon, cucumber, okra, rice and pumpkin seed.

Maize- It is monocot and angiospermic seed which means it has only one cotyledon or one seed leaf. It source was a wild grass called as teosinte.

Water Melon- It is dicot seed which means we can break the seed into two half and having two cotyledons. It source was Citrullus lanatus originated in West Africa.

Cucumber- It is dicot and having two cotyledons and its source was Cucumis hystrix.

Okra- It’s a dicot with two cotyledons and source was the green seed pod of hibiscus and hollyhock

Rice- It is a monocot having one cotyledon and its source was a swamp grass Oryza sativa.

Pumpkin seed- It is a dicot having two cotyledons and its source was form North America where related plants have been found as pepon.
