2.In the figure AB and CD are parallel lines, which of the following has the same area as that of the triangle ABC ?​

Here, ABCD is a quadrilateral.

AB∥CD [ Given ]

One pair of quadrilateral is parallel.

∴ ABCD is a trapezium.

Here, △ABD and △ABC are situated between parallel lines AB and CD having same base AB.

We know that, the triangles having same base and situated between a parallel lines are equal in area.

∴ ar(△ABD)=ar(△ABC)
