Natural resource is anything that people can use. examples of natural resources are oil , air , wind , energy , iron and coal etc. Natural resources are naturally occurring substances that are considered valuable in their natural form . Natural resources are mostly classified into two types renewable and non- renewable resources .
RENEWABLE RESOURCES :
Renewable resources are generally living resources and which can restock ( renew ) themselves if they are not over-harvested but used sustainably .Non-living renewable resources include soil and water.
NON-RENEWABLE RESOURCES :
Non-renewable resources are natural resources that exists in fixed amount and cannot be re-made , re-grown or re-generated , as fast it is consumed it is used up. some non-renewable resources can take long time to restore . Fossil fuels takes millions of years to restore and practically not considered renewable .
