R2 = 15 ohm

V = 3 V

Solution :

Let, 11 & 12 be the currents flowing through each resistor.

As resistor are connected in parallel,same amount of voltage will be applied to both.

Thus,

l1 = V/R1 = 3/10 = 0.3 A

l2 = V/R2 = 3/15 = 0.2 A

Equivalent resistance for parallel

combination is -

1/R = 1/R1 + 1/R2

1/R = 1/10 + 1/15

1/R = 10×15 / (10+15)

R = 6 ohm
