Reaction of Acids with metals :

In general,

Acid + Metal → Salt + Hydrogen

Example 1 :

2 Hcl + Zn → ZnCl2 + H2

Example 2 :

Mg + 2HCl → MgCl2 + H2

Reaction of Acids with carbonates :

In general,

Acid + Metal Carbonate → Salt + Carbondioxide + Water.

Example 1 :

Na2CO3 + 2 HCl → 2NaCl + H2O + CO2

Example 2 :

CaCO3 + H2SO4 → CaSO4 + H2O + CO2

Reaction of Acids with bicarbonates

In general,

Acid + Metal BiCarbonate → Salt + Carbondioxide + Water.

Example 1 :

NaHCO3 + HCl → NaCl + H2O + CO2

Example 2 :

HNO3  + KHCO3 → KNO3 + CO2  + H2O

Hey there!

here's your answer

Q.Two simple reactions of acids with metals, carbonate and bicarbonates

Answer-

we know that,

Acids are substances that are sour to taste and release hydronium ions when mixed with water.

1st \: rection(acid \: with \: metal)

Reactions of acids and bases with metals: When a metal reacts with an acid, it generally displaces hydrogen from the acids. This leads to the evolution of hydrogen gas. The metals combine with remaining part of acids to form salt. For example: reaction of sulphuric acid with zinc.

h2so4 + zn - > znso4 + h2

 Mg (s) + 2HCl (aq) - > MgCl2 (aq) + H2 (g)

2nd \: rection(acid \: with \:carbonates/ metal bicarbonates ) Metal carbonates/metal bicarbonates react with acids to produce salt, carbon dioxide and water. For example: reaction of sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate with hydrochloric acid.

na2co3 + hcl(aq) -> 2nacl + h20 + co2
