2^x=16 ,find value of 'x'

This is a problem of indices chapter.



First of all we have to make both side 2 then we have to cancel it in order to find the calue of x.

Do, lets start

2^x=2⁴
Then 2 will be cancel on both side
So the value of x =4

x=4

To find x,
Given: 2^x=16
Solution:
2^x = (2)^4. (as 2^4=16)
Now since the bases are same,
This we can compare the coefficients,
Thus on comparing the coefficients we get,
=> x = 4 (ans)
