2 X + 3 Y is equal to 2 by x minus 2 Y is equal to 8 please answer

2x+3y=2 --------------1 equation 
x-2y=8 -----------------2 equation 

so 
from 1st equation 
2x+3y=2
2x=2-3y
x=2-3/2
x=-3
putting the value of x in equation 2nd 
-3-2y=8
2y=8+3
y=2/11
putting the value of y in equation 1st
2x+3*2/11=2
x=6/11
