2 {}^{x + 4}  - 2 {}^{x + 2}  = 3

2 {}^{x} .2 {}^{4}  - 2 {}^{x} .2 {}^{2} = 3

now \: take \: 2 {}^{x} common

2 {}^{x} (2 {}^{4}  - 2 {}^{2} ) = 3

2 {}^{x} .12 = 3

2 {}^{x} .2 {}^{2} .3 = 3

2 {}^{x} .2 {}^{2}  = 1

Now bases are same so powers will be add.

2 {}^{x + 2}  = 1

2 {}^{x + 2}  = 2 {}^{0}

Now bases are same so compare powers.

x + 2 = 0

x =  - 2

Thanks
