20 - x + x² / 20 = 5

x² -x + 20 = 20 × 5

x² - x + 20 = 100

Taking ( -) sign as common we get

- [ x² + x - 20 ] = 100

By doing Middle term,

-[ x² + ( 5 - 4 )x - 20 ] = 100

-[ x² + 5x - 4x -20 ] = 100

-[ x ( x + 5) - 4 ( x + 5)] = 100

-[ ( x + 5 ) ( x - 4 )] = 100

so , Either

-[ x + 5 ] = 100

- x - 5 = 100

- x = 100 + 5

x = -105

or,

-[ x - 4] = 100

-x + 4 = 100

-x = 100 - 4

x = - 94
