h1 = 0.5 cm
Solution
Lens formula: 1/v – 1/u = 1/f
1/V – 1/-4 = 1/6
1/V = 1/6 – 1/4 = (2 – 3)/12
V = -12 cm
m = v/u = h2/h1
-12/-4 = h2/0.5
h2 = 1.5 cm
Image is 1.5 cm high, virtual, erect and magnified.
