We are given that 23 g of NaCl is dissolved in 100 g of water. We will use the following relation to calculate the concentration of the solution: Mass by mass percentage of a solution= mass of solute/mass of solution x 100% Mass of solute (NaCl) = 23 g Mass of solution = Mass of solute + mass of solvent = (100 + 23) g = 123 g Thus concentration of solution is = (23 X100) 123 = 18.699 % The solubility of solids in liquids increases on increase in temperature.
