\rm{(x - 5, 8) = (6, 8)}

  • On Comparing This, We Get

\to\rm{x - 5 = 6, \:8=8}

  • On Eliminating 8 = 8

\to\rm{x - 5 = 6}

  • Adding 5 to Both Sides

\to\rm{x - 5 + 5 = 6+5}

  • Simplify

\to\rm{x= 11}

\rm{(4, 3y - 7) = (4, 11)}

  • On Comparing This, We Get

\to\rm{4= 4, \:3y - 7=11}

  • On Eliminating 4 = 4

\to\rm{3y - 7=11}

  • Adding 7 to Both Sides

\to\rm{3y - 7+7=11+7}

  • Simplify

\to\rm{3y=18}

  • Dividing both Sides by 3

\to\rm{3y/3=18/3}

  • Simplify

\to\rm{y=6}
