Hey there !

Let x be the number of days to be taken to work by 9 workers to build a wall

Given that -

24 workers can build a wall in 15 days

so 1 worker in one day will work = 24 × 15

given that 9 worker in x days so

 \frac{24 \times 15}{9} \\ \\ = \frac{8}{5} \\ \\ = 40 \: days

Hence 9 workers will take 40 days to build a wall

Hope this would help you !

Hi dear!

We know that,
24 workers can build a wall in 15 days.

Hence,
1 worker will take 360 days(by multiplying 24 by 15) to build that wall.

Now,
We have to find,
How much will 9 workers take to build a similar wall.
Well of course 9 workers will take more time than 24 workers.

Now let's find our final answer,
To find the time taken by 9 workers to build the wall,
We will have to divide the time taken by 1 worker to do the work(i.e. to build the wall) by the number of workers whose time taken to complete the work is to be found.

So,
 \frac{360}{9} = 40
Hence,
9 workers will take 40 days to build a similar wall.

Thanks for the question! (^_^)
