Heya!!

2x + y =  - 2 \\ 2x =  - 2 - y \\ x =  \frac{ - 2 - y}{2}   =  > equation \: 1
3x - y = 7 \\ 3x = 7 + y \\ x =  \frac{7 + y}{3}  =  > equation \: 2

Now, equation 1 = equation 2

 \frac{ - 2 - y}{2}  =  \frac{7 + y}{3}  \\ 3( - 2 - y) = 2(7 + y) \\  - 6 - 3y = 14 + 2y \\  - 3y - 2y = 14 + 6 \\  - 5y = 20 \\ y =  \frac{20}{ - 5}  =  - 4

x =  \frac{7 + y}{3}  \\ x =  \frac{7 - 4}{3}  \\ x =  \frac{3}{3}  = 1

Hope it helps..!!!
