y-x=9

i.e.y=9+x...(2)

Substitute eq(2) in eq(1)

2(9+x)-6=5x

18+2x-6=5x

12=5x-2x

3x=12

x=12/3=4.

Substitute x=4 in eq(2)

y=9+4=13

x=4 and y=13
