3/4 × ( x - 2 ) = x - 1
3 = ( x - 1 ) × ( x - 2 ) × 4
3 = ( x² - x - 2x + 2 ) × 4
3 = 4 x² - 12x + 8
4x² - 12x + 8 = 0
4x² -8x - 4x + 8 =0
4x ( x - 2 ) - 4 ( x - 2 )= 0
( x -2 ) ( 4x - 4) = 0
therefore,
x = 2 or x = 4/4 = 1
