3. A can do a piece of work in 14 days, while B can do in 21 days. They begin together. But, 3 days
before the completion of the work, A leaves off. Find the total number of days taken to complete
the work.​

Answer:

14, 21 LCM = 42

efficienecy = 3,2 (A & B)

in last three days B did = 2*3 = 6 unit of work .

so, left 36 unit of work was done by both now ,

Time to complete that = 36/5 = 7(1/5) days..

Total number of days to complete whole work = 7(1/5) + 3

= 10(1/5) days (Ans)
