This is a paper art class that teaches students
the techniques to make 3D paper objects.
Many projects include animals and famous
architechure This is NOT a 3D printing class
with technology.

3D CAD Design
and Printing

Learn to design and make 3D objects using
Tinkercad. The initial focus will be printing
and assembling prosthetic hands as part of the
E-Nable organization. Later, students will get
to design and print their own designs.

Acrylic Painting

6th graders will learn a variety of acrylic
painting techniques while observing painting
styles from Cubism to Surrealism.

In this class, students will create original works
of art using pointillism techniques. We will
experiment with a variety of mediums and
explore the science of color and light.

Film Studies - The
Hero's Journey

The Hero's Journey - Luke Skywalker. Simba
from Lion King. Harry Potter. Percy
Jackson. Katniss from Hunger Games. What
makes a hero? Explore the classic plot
structure called the hero's journey in stories
and movies.

Board Games

Let’s have some fun, learn to collaborate,
interpret written game rules, and stay organized
by playing some of the world’s best board
games such as Risk, Monopoly, Checkers,
Scrabble, Chess, Life, and Uno. Get ready to
release your inner gamer!

Games For Life

“Games for Life” teaches middle school
students to develop their imagination,
creativity, problem-solving abilities, and
mental health through game play while
having fun.

Bridge Building

Spaghetti bridge building gives you hands-on
experience in bridge design, material strength,
and calculating load-to- mass strength ratios.
Required Materials: Hot glue gun, glue,
spaghetti, 110/220 V adaptor.

Improvisation -
Structured Short
Form

This class focuses on quick wit and building
a solid foundation in improvisational skills.
Be prepared to act in front of your
classmates on a regular basis as well as in
front of an audience.

Coding 101

Learn how to use the JavaScript language and
the ProcessingJS library to create fun drawings
and animations. We will use Khan Academy to
guide our learning. Laptop and earphones
required.

Keyboarding

This class gives you the focused practie time
you need to take your keyboarding skills to
the next level. Students practice touch-typing
in a fun, self-paced, workshop environment.
Build your confidence with keyboarding and
other computer skills.

Comics

6th graders will design an original comic strip
as they practice story writing, layout design and
drawing skills.

Life Skills

Learn tools and strategies to help you
balance your school, family, and personal
lives. This class will introduce strategies to
strengthen your communication skills, and
your academic achievement through time
management and effective study skills.

Games For Life

Pixar in a Box

Using the collaboration between Khan
Academy and Pixar Films, students will have
the opportunity to learn about storytelling
and filmmaking, and the fundamentals of
animation, as well as special effects used in
