Maximum current:-

To obtain minimum current the resistors are to be connected in series.

R = r1 + r2

  = 6 + 3 ohms

  = 9 ohms

V = IR

I = V/R

 = 9/9

 = 1 ampere

For minimum current

To obtain maximum current the resistors are to be connected in parallel.

1/R = 1/r1 + 1/r2

     = 1/6 + 1/3

      = 1 + 2 /6

      = 3/6

      = 1/2

R = 2

V = I R

I = V/R

 = 9/2

 = 4.5 amperes

Hope this helped!
