At the time of Swadeshi Movement, a tricolour flag (red, green and yellow) was designed in Bengal by Mahatma Gandhi. It features are:
(i) It had eight Lotuses representing eight provinces of British India and a crescent moon representing Hindu-Muslim community.
(ii) It had also tricolour, red, green and white.
(iii) It had a spining wheel in the centre.
