3. Find the value of k, if x - 1 is a factor of p(x) in each of the following cases:
(1) P(x)=x2+x+k
(ii) p(x) = 2x2 + kx + 2
(ii) P(x) = kr? - 2x + 1
(iv) p(x) = kor? - 3x +k​

x = 1

1) (1)^2 + 1 + k

2+ k = 0

k = -2

2.) 2 + k + 2 = 0

k = - 4

3 ) .-2 + 1 + k = 0

k = - 1

4.) - 3 + k = 0

k = 3
