Given,
weight of water = 3 kg = 3000g
pressure = 100Kpa = 10^5 pa
Temperature = 250°C = 250+273 = 523K
use, gas formula ,
PV = nRT
where, P, V , n , R and T are pressure , volume , no of moles , gas constant and temperature respectively.
Here,
P = 10^5 Pa
n = 3000/18 { mol wt of H2O = 18 }
R = 8.314 j.mol-¹K-¹
T = 523K
V = ?
V = {3000/18 } × 8.314 × 523/1.013 × 10^5
=3000 × 8.314 × 523/18 × 10130 L
=
71.54 L
