Hi ,
Length of the train = 100 m
Length of the bridge = 200 m
Distance travelled to cross the
bridge = length of the train + length
of the bridge
d = 100m + 200m
= 300m
= 300 × ( 1/1000 )km
d = 3/10 km
Time taken to cross
the bridge = 20 sec
t = 20 × ( 1/3600 ) hr
t = ( 1/180 ) hr
Speed of the train = distance/time
S = ( 3/10 )/ ( 1/180 )
S = ( 3 × 180 )/10
S = 54 km/hr
Therefore ,
Speed of the train = 54 km/he
I hope this helps you.
