Given,

A rectangular field with,

Length, l=22.5m

Breadth, b=12.5m

To find,

i)Area of the field, A

ii) Length of the wire required to fence the field

   That is, to find the perimeter of the field, P

Solution,

i)

We know that,

Area of a rectangle is given by,

Area = length×breadth

A=l×b

A=22.5×12.5

A=281.25m^{2}

Therefore, area of the field is 281.25m^{2}.

ii)

In order to find the length of wire required, we need to find the length of the boundaries of the field, i.e., the perimeter of the field.

We know that,

Perimeter of a rectangle is given by,

Perimeter=2(length+breadth)

P=2(l+b)

P=2(22.5+12.5)

P=2(35)

P=70m

Therefore, the required length of the wire is 70m.
