World Vision India is responding to flash floods in Kerala
Kerala needs your support. Join us in saving the lives of those affected by floods.
Act Now
Through the generous contributions of partners like you, we have been able to rush immediate emergency relief in the form of dry ration and non-food items to 11,393 families in Malapuram, Wayanad, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam and Palakkad.
We plan to provide emergency relief to 10,000 more families in Idukki, Kottayam/Allepey (Kuttanad) and Wayanad.
As many families return to their damaged houses, they are faced with an uncertain future. The loss of millions of hectares of crops and small businesses and shops means many of them will not have a source of livelihood for many months to come.
Our staff are on the ground conducting detailed assessment of the damage to plan our work during the recovery and rehabilitation work.
World Vision India will work with the affected communities in helping them rebuild their houses and livelihoods. Our recovery efforts will also involve rebuilding school infrastructure in the affected areas so that children continue their learning.
World Vision India will continue to work with children, families and communities in Kerala, providing relief and recovery assistance for the next few months.
