3. Neurospora - an ascomycetes fungus has been used as a biological tool to
understand the mechanism of plant genetics much in the same way as Drosophila has
been used to study animal genetics. What makes Neurospora so important as a genetic
tool?

Hey mate;

your answer is here,

NEUROSPORA

The fungus is used as a genetic material due to following reason:

* It has short life duration and is easily cultivated.

* Dominant and recessive characters are easily expressed in it.

* In it, products of Meiosis are arranged in a linear way.
