Conversation must show how we usually interact and speak to people. In a conversation, two or more people speak. But, in other speech events like elocution or declamations, only one person has to speak and attract the audience with his/her expressions and body movements. The person must use posh vocabulary to attract the audience towards him/her self. A conversation must usually start with a salutation, like hello or good morning or something like that. But in a speech event its better to go for a wonderful quote first and then salutation.
