Formula for magnesium sulfate is MgSO4

It's molecular mass is 120.366 g/mol

Mg Atomic mass is 24.304 u

Atom of Mg present in Molecular formula is 1

Therefore, Mass of Mg Atom = 24.304 × 1

= 24.304 u

Mass % = Mass of Atom / MM × 100

Therefore, % Mg = 24.304 / 120.366 × 100

= 20.19 %

Therefore option d is correct.

Similarly we find mass % of sulphur oxide.
