let 1/ x = m and 1/y = n, hence
3m - n = - 9 and 2m + 3n = 5, multiplying 1st equation by 3, we get
9m - 3n = - 27, now adding 2nd equation, we get
11m = - 22 or m = -2 and so n= 3
Answer x = -1/2 and y = 1/3
