Answer:

3 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth of rectangle is x cm ,then length is x+3

Then the area of rectangle =x(x+3)

And perimeter of rectangle =2(x+3+x)

As per question area and perimeter numerical equal

∴X(x+3)=2(x+3+x)

⇒x2 +3x=4x+6

⇒x2 +3x−4x−6=0

⇒x2 −x−6=0

⇒x2 −3x+2x−6=0

⇒x(x−3)+2(x−3)=0

⇒(x−3)(x+2)=0

So x=3 or x=-2 But -2 not the write because breadth no negative

Then breadth=3 cm

Answer:

let breadth be b cm

l =3+b cm

perimeter=2[l+b]

38=2[3+b+b]

19=2b+3

16=2b

b=8 cm

l=8+3 cm

l=11 cm

answer is [c] 11 cm
