 the height of the cylinder.

The volume of the cylinder is given to us as 308 sq meter

∴722×r2×8=308

⇒r2=22×8308×7=12.25

∴r=3.50 m 

The lateral surface area of a cylinder is given by the formula =2πrh

=2×722×3.5×8

=176m2

The total surface area of the cylinder = Lateral Surface Area + 2πr2

=176+2722×(3.5)2

=176+77

=253m2
