area of isoceles triangle = 1/2*6*6(1/2base into height)

=18

Area of equilateral triangle = root 3/4*square = 3/4*36 = 3root3

the area of equilateral triangle is less.

The difference in area is = 18-3root3 = 3(6-root3)
