Explanation:

3m-n=40---1

and -2n+4m=50-----2

multiply 1st equation×4

12m-4n=160----3

and multiply 2nd equation×3

12m-6n=150-----4

subract equation 4 from equation 3

12m-4n===160

12m-6n==150

0+2n=10

n=5

and substitute n=5 in 3m-n=40

3m-5=40

3m=45

m==15 and Therefore [n=5 and m=15]
