3 x sq. + 12x + (m+7) = 0
a x sq. + bx + c = 0
On comparing,
a = 3 , b = 12 , c = (m+7)
For equal roots of the equation
b sq. - 4ac = 0
12 x 12 - 4 x 3 x (m+7) = 0
144 -12m- 84 = 0
12m = 144 - 84
12 m = 60
m = 60/12
m = 5
