Solution :

Given quadratic equation

3x²+5√2x+2=0

compare above equation with

ax² + bx + c = 0, we get

a = 3 , b = 5√2 , c = 2

Discreminant (D) = b² - 4ac

= (5√2)² - 4×3×2

= 50 - 24

D = 26

****************************************
We know the quadratic formula:

x = [ -b ± √D ]/(2a)

= [ -5√2 ± √26 ]/( 2 × 3 )

= [ -5√2 ± √26 ]/6
