Solution :

Given Quadratic equation x²-3√6x+12=0

compare this with ax²+bx+c=0, we get

a = 1 , b = -3√6 , c = 12

Discreminant ( D ) = b² - 4ac

= ( -3√6 )² - 4 × 1 × 12

= 54 - 48

D = 6

*****************************************
We know the quadratic formula :

x = [ -b ± √D ]/2a

= [ -(-3√6) ± √6 ]/( 2×1 )

= ( 3√6 ± √6 )/2

= [ √6 ( 3 ± 1 )/2 ]

x = [ √6( 3 + 1 )/2 ] or x = [√6(3-1)]/2

x = (4√6)/2 or x = 2√6/2

Therefore ,

x = 2√6 or x = √6
