SOLUTION

TO VERIFY

The associative property of intersection of sets for

A = {-11, √2,√5,7} ,

B = {√3, √5,6, 13)

C = {√2, √3, √5, 9}.

EVALUATION

Here the given sets are

A = {-11, √2,√5,7} ,

B = {√3, √5,6, 13}

C = {√2, √3, √5, 9}.

Now

A ∩ B = { √5 }

( A ∩ B ) ∩ C = { √5 }

Again

B ∩ C = { √3, √5 }

A ∩ ( B ∩ C ) = {√5 }

Thus ( A ∩ B ) ∩ C = A ∩ ( B ∩ C )

Hence associative property is verified
