We know that Rupees 1=100 paise

40paise :4×100 paise

=>40:400

=>40/400

=>1/10

=>1:10

We know that 1 rupee = 100 paise

This implies,

100 paise = 1 rupee

Therefore,

1 paisa = 1/100 rupee

40 paise = (1/100)*40 = 0.40 rupee

NOTE -

4 rupee = 400 paise

So,40 Paise to rupees 4 is untrue.

The correct statement is 400 paise to rupees 4
