Percentage of females in the village = (100-45) % = 55 %
55 % of the total population = 11000
45 % of the total population = No. of males =
 \frac{11000 \times 45}{55}  = 9000

45% of the total population are males .

Female population = 100% - 45%

                               = 55%

Given : there are 11,000 females .

Let the total population be x

So , according to the question : 55% of x = 11,000

                                             ==> 55/100 × x = 11,000

                                             ==> 11/20 × x = 11,000

                                             ==> x = 11,000 × 20/11

                                             ==> x = 1,000 × 20

                                             ==> x = 20,000

There are 20,000 total people.

Number of males = total population - females

                              = 20,000 - 11,000

                              = 9,000

\boxed{\bf{ANSWER}}

The number of males is 9,000

Hope it helps :-)
