vertical component of initial velocity

uy=50sin30°=30*1/2=15m/s.

By the equations of motion

h=uy t+at^2/2

90=15 t+ 10 t^2/2

90=15 t+5 t^2

18=t^2 +3 t

t^2 +3t -18=0

by solving it we will get

t=-6 or 3

time cannot be negative.

t=3 seconds.

Time taken by the body is 3 seconds
