Hi ,

4x² - √3x - 5 = 0

divide each term with 4 , we get

x² - √3/4 x - 5/4 = 0

x² - 2 × x × ( √3/8 ) + ( √3/8 )² = 5/4 - ( √3/8 )²

( x - √3/8 )² = 5/4 - 3/64

= ( 80 - 3 ) /64

= 77/64

( x - √3/8 ) = ± √( 77/64)

x = √3/8± √77/8

x = ( √3 ± √77 ) /8

I hope this helps you.
