-by substitution method.

4x+5y=13.....(1)×2

2x-2y=2......(2)×5

8x+10y=26

+

10x-10y=10

18x=36

x=2

place x=2 in eqn (1)

4x+5y=13

4×2+5y=13

8+5y=13

5y=13-8

5y=5

y=1

Therefore solution of (x,y) =(2,1)

The possible solution of linear equations are x=2 and y=1.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided equations.

4x+5y=13

4x=13-5y

x=\frac{13-5y}{4}

Now, substitute the value of x in 2x-2y=2

\begin{bmatrix}2\cdot \frac{13-5y}{4}-2y=2\end{bmatrix}

\frac{13-5y}{2}-2y=2

13-5y-4y=4\\13-9y=4\\-9y=-9\\y=1

Substitute y=1 in x=\frac{13-5y}{4}

x=\frac{13-5(1)}{4}

x=\frac{13-5}{4}

x=\frac{8}{4}

x=2

Hence, the possible solution of linear equations are x=2 and y=1.
