Given,
 4x^2 - 4x - 15
= 4x^2 - (10 - 6)x - 15, (10 - 6) because 10 * 6 = 60, which is 15 * 4
= 4x^2 - 10x + 6x - 15
= 2x(2x - 5) + 3(2x - 5)
= (2x - 5)(2x + 3)

Hope you understand, because it is middle term splitting factorisation.
