Answer:

option d

Explanation:

using parallel combination b/w 2 ohm and 6 ohm

1/ requivalent=1/2+1/6

we get 6/4

and it is series with 6 ohm

6/4+6=15/2

Given:-

R¹ = 6 ohm

R² = 2 ohm

R³ = 6 ohm

To find:-

Rc = ?

Solution:-

R¹ and R² are in parallel while R³ is in series.

1/Rc' = 1/R¹ + 1/R²

1/Rc' = 1/6 + 1/2

1/Rc' = 1 + 3/6

1/Rc' = 4/6

Rc' = 6/4

Rc' = 1.5 ohm

Rc' and R³ are in series.

Rc = Rc' + R³

Rc = 1.5 + 6

Rc = 7.5 ohm or 7 1/2 ohm

Option (d) is the answer.
