Let 1/x+y = u and 1/x-y = v,

5u - 2v = -1 - eq(i)

15u + 7v = 10 - eq(ii)

Multiplying equation (i) by 3,

15u - 6v = -3

-(15u + 7v = 10)

____________

13v = -13 v = -1

u = -1+2v/5 = -3/5

u = 1/x+y = -3/5

-3x-3y = 5 - eq(iii)

v = 1/x-y = -1

-x+y = 1

y = 1+x

Putting value of y in eq(iii),

-3x - 3(1+x) = 5

-3x -3 - 3x = 5

-6x = 8

x = -4/3

y = 1+x = -4/3+1 = -1/3

Hope it helps!!

Thank you ✌️
